An Introduction to Psychological Testing

This workshop focuses on gaining a better understanding of psychological testing. The class will help teachers better understand the underlying processing issues of students with dyslexia by examining testing instruments such as the WISC-V and various achievement tests. The knowledge in this class will help the attendee learn how to describe students to other other professions and be more diagnostic and prescriptive in their instruction.

This is a 15 hour course that satisfies some of the coursework requirement at the Certified Level of certification with the Orton-Gillingham Academy.

Prerequisite: There is no prerequisite for this class but having coursework at the Classroom Educator Level or Associate Level is highly preferred.
